A format change, not restored detail
PNG can be useful in workflows that require PNG files, but it cannot restore detail already lost to JPEG compression or automatically remove a solid background.
PNG output may be larger than the original JPEG. If the receiving site limits file size, review the resulting file and use an appropriate compression or resize step.

Will I need to upload again?

Does a preview guarantee acceptance?
